As you all know, we no longer have rankings, BUT, this is still worth reading.
The other day Micho and I were talking on MSN and he asked me a simple question: "Whats my rank in KoC?"
Sadly, I have no direct answer for this question and I will do my best to tell you why utilizing one of my nortoriously long-winded explanations.
For the longest time, there were no rankings at all in KoC. This is how we liked it...for we are Keepers of Chaos and we strive for disorder.
BUT.. we also strive to conquer.
I think that Patriot was the last member to join before it was decided by Grigger and myself to try to implement a clan ranking system. But before I go any further, I would like to explain WHY we thought we needed any rankings at all... which in my eyes is more the point.
The rankings were a simple plan to try to bring SOME kind of order to our Clan Battles...NOT a reason to boss anyone around or say LOOK AT ME!!! IM A GENERAL AND YOU ARE A PISS-ANT!!
Ranks are for braggin rights %99 of the time... the other %1 is when we are fighting =KoC= vs...
Then your rank is what allows you to look at a guy and say "watch my back" and nothing more.
This is what BStamm never realized... its an online video game so who the FUCK wants to play a game to get bossed around by some shmuck 2000 miles away. Who wants to stop to type orders? Or even read them on a screen?
Not me my friends.
I have no leader in battles.
I have a Squad Mate...or two.
Most often it is Grigger.
Is it because he is the best player? Nope. I have seen EVERYONE in our clan top the scores at one point or another.
Confucius say:The scores are the reflection of your play, not your objective.
Grigger, Pat, Dmerk, Inner, Over Here... all have been the "best in show" at some point.
But Grig... he's...sexy :smokin.
We watch each others back.
If I'm running... I dont bother turning around until I hear shots because thats when I know that Grig is shooting someone's face off and he might need help.
I never get caught alone until one of us gets shot.
Thats a beautiful thing guys.
A nice simple plan for success...mutual agreement that working as a unit is above and beyond individual acheivement. This is in sports, in the military, in society. Even ANTS AND BEES understand the team concept.
If this were real life...it would be a sacred bond of honor.
In a game its a fun thing to pretend.
I like to "pretend" the following: lol
1)Pick a partner and go shooting is my motto.
2)We dont argue which way to go. One runs, the other follows.
3)It dont matter if you die 10 times if the clan wins 10-0
because every death = 2.
What I want to do is WIN.
I want to show other clans that not only is KoC competitive, but that we are organized and structured.
That structure gives opponents the feeling that no matter where they go, they will always be a step behind...if every time he see a KoC he's thinking "Fuck, theres TWO of them"....man that can have an amazing intimidating effect to the enemy. It makes them change plans...then they play OUR WAY. Our way means they die.
During a clan match there is ONE FUCKIN RULE!! Its called FYS.
FYS is the ONLY leader you will need.
If you have a lesser rank you will be expected to

You are charged with the duty of Protecting him at ALL costs. BE AWARE. Dont try to be a hero. Just let FYS guide you to victory. And remember...

This brings me to the answer of how the rankings go...
ONCE AGAIN...for the sake of FUN and keeping things interesting...RANKINGS ARE NOT PERMANENT.
